Details

  • Registration is non-refundable.  Class fees are fully refundable through 9/5, 50% refunded through 9/11, and non-refundable after 9/11.
  • All registration forms and payment or payment arrangements must be completed and in hand of the office by deadline dates to receive the stated rate.
  • Family Rate: The first three oldest children (living in the same household) pay full price.  Any additional children may attend the co-op for free with the exception of the art supply fee.
  • Payments/Scholarships: We never want finances to hinder a family from participating in the co-op. If you would like to participate in the co-op but finances would not allow it, please contact Angela for arrangements.  Payment arrangements can also be made.
  • We aim to have no more than 15 students in a class. We fill up quickly. After receiving your registration and payments, you will hear from us within a week to confirm your place. If you do not hear from us, please send an email.
  • Parents’ Involvement/Responsibility: While parents are welcome to observe, help, and be involved as much as they would like, we only ask that a parent volunteer two full co-op days per semester.  This is just two weeks per family, not per child. Contact Angela to sign up for the week you’d like to help, or sign up at orientation.  If you are unable to volunteer, we ask that you pay a $100 fee per year, or $50 per semester if you are able to volunteer for one semester but not the other.  We want to continue to minister to moms by giving you a day each week to complete tasks of your choosing, but we can also use a hand here and there and will enjoy getting to know you better as we serve together.
  • For those interested in extra school support or activities, Excel Christian Academy at Cedar Hills offers a dual enrollment homeschool option. Homeschool students are also welcome to play on their sports teams. See the Excel Christian Academy tab under Excel on this website or visit ecadunlap.com.
  • Students may participate in band/orchestra as a beginner or advanced student. Students are responsible to provide their own instruments. You can purchase them or rent them from a local music store.
  • Choir and band students will perform in the ECA Christmas program on December 11th at 6:30 and our spring fine arts night on April 9th at 6:30.
  • Students should bring a backpack, all required supplies, a no-spill water bottle with water, and if they'd like, a snack to have (typically during their 10:00 class).
  • Parents will sign their student in and out electronically at our check-in stations in the foyer. A nametape sticker will print at check-in and the student must wear it at all times.

Class Descriptions

PE – Kids will enjoy activities, sports, stretches, and lessons on health. Team building, exercise, stretcing, strengthening, learning game rules, enjoying organized activities with others will all be included in these fun classes.

Art – Our art classes are far beyond an arts and crafts style class. Students are taught art concepts, history, and appreciation. Our amazing teachers use develop weekly lessons and projects that move students forward in their art abilities and experiences.

Science – Our science program includes both lecture and hands-on learning. Typically one week is used for teaching the material and the next week used for hands-on experiments to reinforce what is being taught and learned. Guest speakers from various fields of science are also a fun treat during the year.

Government/Civics – Our government class will enrich your student’s knowledge in understanding the purpose of the constitution and it’s proper application as well as help them learn and understand the various positions and roles in government. In addition, we also cover states and capitals, foundational documents, and our countries presidents. Many parents use this class as both their constitution class and American history, civics, or government. The content covers material important for young citizens to know and understand. Guest speakers and visits from public leaders add to the learning experience of the class.

Needed Supplies And Curriculum

These supplies should be with your child at co-op every week. If a child does not have the proper supplies to complete a project, they will not be able to participate in that day’s assignment. Please label ALL your child’s items with their name.
Students should have these supplies with them each week.

The Dunlap Co-op is not a school.  We are a ministry offering weekly classes to enrich and encourage what an individual is being taught and is learning outside of our classes.  The parents of our students are responsible for their own adherence to state standards, grading, and end result of how they use the information they receive from the classes offered through this ministry.
