Mission Statement: To educate students by integrating academic excellence with a Christian worldview so as to equip them to reach their unique potential and impact their world for Jesus Christ.
Philosophy of Education: The educational philosophy of Excel Christian Academy is based on a God-centered view of life. We believe that we were created by God and for the purpose of glorifying Him. We believe the Bible to be the only inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God and is the standard for all truth. Our primary aim is to assist parents in their responsibility for the education and training of their children and to provide an emotionally and physically safe environment. As such, EXCEL Christian Academy will provide quality instruction and activities that are integrated with a God- centered view of life. The intent is to help students to develop their talents, abilities, and character to reach their fullest potential and impact this world for Jesus Christ. This philosophy requires that we promote high academic standards while helping students to achieve skills in creative and critical thinking using the best-integrated curriculum model available. The curriculum at Excel Christian Academy is the basis for developing an effective, developmentally appropriate educational program, which includes teaching in all areas vital to the growth of the student.
Our Plan: Prior to the 2021/2022 school year, Excel has served Dunlap and its surrounding communities primarily as an early childhood education ministry. Motivated by the growing need for Christian Education and the legislation being proposed and passed in our state legislature Cedar Hills Baptist Church believes it to be Gods will to further extend our reach and open Excel Christian Academy. We will be offering K3-1st grade for the 2021/2022 school year. Our plan is to add a grade each year as God directs and leads.
Discrimination Policy: Excel Christian Academy admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded to students at the Academy. It does not discriminate on the basis of color, race, national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, scholarship or programs. We do, however, reserve the right to deny admission to any individual that cannot benefit from past academic achievement, disqualifying disabilities, or whose personal life-style is not in harmony with the stated philosophy and purpose of Excel Christian Academy.
